Title
Shop buildings in Old Bond Street
Description
A view of the front elevation of a shop building at 4-9 Old Bond Street, Mayfair. Roadworks in the street are surrounded by a hoarding but the shops appear open. The elaborate building has a richly decorated facade and is five storeys high. Stores on the ground-floor show signs for W. Barrett & Sons Ltd, Bargain Books and Royal Copenhagen Porcelain. Another sign over an entrance advertises New Embassy and an estate agent's To Let sign can be seen. At the second-floor is a sign for the Baden-Baden information centre. An elephant tusk appears to be hanging over the Barrett facade. The building still exists.
