Description
A view of the front elevations of shop buildings at 29-31 Old Bond Street, Mayfair. All have retail premises on the ground-floor and other accommodation above. At number 29 on the right, the retailer is jeweller Holmes, with silver plate in the window. Number 30 is shoe shop Bally with other signs referring to Gavin LB Robinson and estate agent John E. Snell. Number 31 is chocolatier Charbonnel & Walker. Its building has sculpted, crouching allegorical female figures at each side above the fascia and standing figures in relief above the first floor. All the buildings still exist. Dating from 1898-1900, number 31 Old Bond Street was Grade II listed in 1978; listing number 1266358.
