Description
View of Skidmore Street and Duckett Street, Mile End, looking north-east. A corner shop is open with windows full of stock and two children are caught in the foreground. Further along, on the right-hand side of the photograph, are houses in Duckett Street, the furthest one having been demolished. Tall chimneys are visible in the background and an enamel sign for Lipton's Tea is fixed to an outside wall. Houses at 79-111 Skidmore Street stretch into the distance on the left-hand side of the photograph. These buildings no longer exist.
