Description
Disused early nineteenth-century lime kiln in a builders' yard next to the filled in Surrey Canal to the rear of 293 Albany Road, Walworth. It is protected by corrugated iron sheeting with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club 'THFC' aerosol graffito. The spire of St George's Church to the east is visible in the background. Although all of the properties around it were demolished for the creation of Burgess Park, the lime kiln was preserved. It was Grade II listed in 1998; listing number 1378394.
