Description
A general view of Bedford Way, Holborn, showing the Raglan Hotel at number 34, signposted. Four-storey brick buildings in various shades. Iron railings in front of basements and at first-floor balconies. Young trees are planted in the pavement. Parked cars are seen and a London taxi driving. Several people walking and standing by a doorway. A sign points to the Tavistock Garage entrance between the buildings. The buildings, 38-51 Bedford Way, have since been replaced with a seven-storey hotel, now called Royal National Hotel, which boasts 1630 rooms. Numbers 52-53 seen in the background by Russell Square, a seven-storey building, is still standing.
