Description
View of a three-storey shop with flats in vacant possession above at 852 High Road, Tottenham, looking east, along with the entrance to Roberts cooperage through the building beneath the first floor. The red brick building has sash windows with gauged brick flat arches and a brick relief detail below the stucco parapet, and is seen with the roller-shuttered entrance to 'Leslies' shop, drawn. The cobbled accessway to Roberts (formerly, Dunbar cooperage) and number 854 at the rear, is next to a Record Fayre shop at number 856. The entrance to the flats above is next to the shop door at number 850, seen with 'fishing' painted vertically on the front on the line of the party wall. The building has since been demolished replaced by a modern three-storey building housing Barclays Bank with offices above. A Ford Cortina Mark II can be seen parked at the roadside in front.
