View of the front elevations of 23-26 South Molton Street, Mayfair, looking towards Brook Street. The terraced houses on the western side of the street were added in the late-eighteenth century. Number 23 was built as a four-storey terraced house in the late-eighteenth century with shopfronts added at a later dates, and is occupied by Browns menswear. To the side of the shop is the alley called South Molton Passage which leads through to South Molton Lane. At number 24 is Prestat hand-made chocolates, established in 1902 by the French emigre Antoine Dufour. He created a violet creme chocolate for the actress Sarah Bernhardt in 1910. 24-25 South Molton Street are Grade II listed, listing 1236524. Number 25 was built as a three-storey property with the attic storey and shopfront added later. Browns menswear occupies the shop with Terence Kaye and Partners, Estate Agents, Surveyors and Valuers on the first floor. Number 26 is an early nineteenth-century or late eighteenth-century terraced house with shop used by Nicole hairdressing and Grade II listed, listing 1264533. Parked outside are a Morris Mini Van and a Austin 1300 Estate. A partial view of number 27 shows it is occupied by Browns menswear, the property is being refurbished and there is a full builders skip outside the property.
