Description
Doorway of a terraced townhouse at 5 Queen Anne's Gate, Westminster, featuring pilasters and a triangular pediment. The whole terrace, which comprises odd numbers 5-13, dates from 1770-1771 and is Grade I listed, listing number 1227241.The four-storey brick buildings and basements were built by Thomas Clark, bricklayer, and Emanuel Crouch, probable architect. Next to the doorway are wrought iron area railings with urn finials. This part of the street was originally named Park Street and separated by a wall from the western part called Queen Square. The doors and lower windows have been replaced.
