View of Pardoner Street
Description
A view looking along Pardoner Street, Southwark, looking north east. There is a row of two-storey Georgian terraced houses on the left . Two women are standing at their adjacent front doors looking curiously at the camera with their arms crossed. The older of the two is smiling and the younger one has a toddler by her side clutching something in her arms. All of them are wearing long dresses. Further up the street is a man attending to his cart. This area was later demolished for redevelopment into the Tabard Estate, after World War I.
