Title
Car Sales building in Brook Street
Description
View of Chamberlain Car Sales, occupying a wooden-boarded building at 23a Brook Street, Kingston-upon-Thames. Outside to the right is a Wolsey car, in the yard to the left is parked a Ford Escort. A lady with a full shopping basket has her purse in hand but has dropped some coins on the pavement, which are being retrieved by her companion. Also in view are a Victorian House at number 23 Brook Street and brick and wooden-clad workshop buildings occupied by Batson and Son's Kingston Forge, Blacksmiths and Engineers. None of the buildings remain as they have been replaced by a modern office building named Argyll House.
