A view of the central block of former Kingsmead and Grove Road Hospital, Grove Road in Richmond. Scaffolding is erected over part of the building and a skip can be seen in the foreground. A large clock is visible as are two dogs. Formerly this building was part of Richmond Union Workhouse and Richmond Military Hospital, though this site has had other names. It opened as a workhouse in 1787 and closed as an NHS hospital in 1974. It now forms part of King George Square, a gated estate, and is Grade II listed; listing number 1192589.
