Description
Front elevation of Clere House, a substantial detached house at 16 Wellgarth Road, Hampstead Garden Suburb. The house of two storeys plus dormered attic is V-shaped and faces the junction with Hampstead Way. It is seen beyond a front garden with extensive planting. The house dates from 1914 and was designed by Barry Parker from the office of Unwin and Parker, important architects of houses in Hampstead Garden Suburb. It is reputed to have been the house which Parker designed for himself but he never took up residence. Clere House was Grade II listed in 1996; listing number 1259507.
