Description
Oblique view of houses on Milespit Hill, Mill Hill. They include Berry Cottage, Hill View and Hillside Cottages, The Welches and the end of Angel Cottages, all different in styles. Berry Cottage is 'Arts and Crafts' in style, between this and Hill View appears to be a tiled outbuilding used as a garage and a lean-to outbuilding, a shop or offices. These buildings have now been redeveloped as a modern house, now called 'High Winds'. Outside is a reinforced concrete street lamp. Hill View and Hill Side are either end of a brick faced building with front doors at the end and four windows. Two dormers in a double, tiled mansard rood and with weatherboarded ends. The Welches has a mix of rendering and weatherboarding, with a tiled mansard roofwith a side front door. By contrast, Angel Cottages are from 1964-66, by R. Seifert and Partners.
