Title
Houses in Hampstead Way
Description
A view of the front elevation of a pair of substantial semi-detached houses at 79 and 81 Hampstead Way, Hampstead Garden Suburb. The houses have two storeys plus dormers and each has a projecting wing from the main range. The whole has been built to resemble a hall house. The houses have front gardens planted with shrubs and bounded by a hedge. Unusually for the date, the houses have integral "motor houses" or garages with arched entrances within the building at each end. Dating from 1910-11 and designed by Ernest Wilmott, numbers 79 and 81 Hampstead Way and their motor houses were Grade II listed in 1996; listing number 1259643.
