A view of a gate in The Crescent, Monken Hadley. The gate, seen open to vehicles, is in wood and iron with a pedestrian gate at the left. It is one of a pair serving each end of The Crescent and one of five that historically restricted access by cattle to Hadley Common. Dating from the eighteenth century, the gate was Grade II listed in 1983, listing number 1078832.
