Description
View of the rear of a pair of derelict cottages at 1 to 2 Wood Lane, Ruislip, looking east. The timber-framed building has a cross-gabled extension, partly clad with damaged asbestos cement panels, and the remainder rendered with a tiled pitched roof, and a single-storey integral outbuilding, seen across a roughly-cleared rear garden. The cottages are located at the east end of the former Field End Farm orchard, on the junction between Wood Lane and, what is now known as, West End Road. The semi-detached house at 20 West End Road, is just visible to the right. The cottages and the farm no longer exist, having been developed with a small housing estate at Pond Green adjacent to Ruislip Rugby Club.
